2016 WRAP Show

Eight Local Artists Qualify for Statewide Exhibit in Madison

The Wautoma 2016 Wisconsin Regional Art Program workshop was held in Wautoma on
Saturday, May 21, at the Waupaca Senior Center. The event was sponsored by the Rural Rembrandt Art Club of Wautoma.There were 26 participants with seventy-one works in the show, which was open to thepublic.

While the exhibit was being juried, participants created handmade books in a workshop
led by Roberta Laine, Steven’s Point. Roberta demonstrated printing on gelli plate, and
distributed sample prints so participants could assemble their books.

A poltluck lunch and continental breakfast were provided by Rembrandt members.
The Wisconsin Regional Art Program began in 1940 to encourage on-professional artists
throughout Wisconsin. There are 20 exhibits each year, co-sponsored by the University
