The Waushara Argus prints Rural Rembrandt exhibit and show announcements, articles about our members, and meeting announcements in each weekly edition. Content is posted on the web for the current week and changes on Wednesdays.

 

Look for us in the Waushara Argus, as well as other local papers including the Berlin Journal, The Marquette Tribune, and the Green Laker.  

 

The Rural Rembrandt Art Club currently has an exhibit at the Performing Arts Center in Wautoma. ,

 

Next meeting is May 26  at 1pm at Marion Town Hall.  Members can change their pictures at the PAC at noon that day.  Those who did self-portraits  are encouraged to hang them in the exhibit. See Current News  for the full press release

Winners of Art Contest at Parkside Middle School

 

On May 5, 2009, the Wautoma Area Woman’s Club sponsored an art contest at the Parkside MiddleSchool.  The club enlisted members of the Rural Rembrandt Art Club

to do the judging.  Various medium were included in this exhibit which adorned the hallways and library walls of the school.  The work was a result of various projects in the Art class of Mr. Michael Fretchel and encompassed painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art.  The contestants were students ranging from the 5th to the 8th grades and at various levels of expertise.  It was an impressive display and a challenge for the judges as many works were of exceptional quality.  

 

Awards were presented in all categories including a Best of Show.  They consisted of both ribbons and monetary awards.  The following is a listing of all winners:
