Rural Rembrandt 68th Annual Art Show

The Rural Rembrandt Art Club's Annual Show was held on July 16th and 17th at the Wautoma / Waushara Senior Center located at W8220 Cottonville Ave and Hwy 22. The event was open to the public at no cost from 10am to 3pm each day and attendance was very good.

There was a special children's section for ages 3 thru high school. There was also a special exhibit of art work created by inmates of the Redgranite Correctional Institute. This exhibit is included as a positive encouragement to the inmates and was judged by a member of our club with ribbons awarded. A correctional officer will be responsible for the set up and display of this particular section of the show.

All art was judged by Leslie Trewyn, a well-known award winning Green Lake artist. Leslie is accomplished in acrylic as well as other mediums and her works are exhibited nationally in public collections, businesses, homes and art galleries. She has participated and won honors in many major U.S. art exhibits, such as the Chicago Old Town Art Fair and the Original Ann Arbor Street Art Fair. Awards and Ribbons were distributed on Saturday afternoon

In additon to the show there was a raffle of arts, crafts, gift cards, and various items during the two day event. Drawings took place at the close of the show on Sunday, at 3 pm. I
